The Livelong Podcast
This week’s episode of the Livelong Podcast was fascinating. Cathi Lamberti, Founder and CEO of SMARTfit, joined us on her 71st birthday to talk about the relationship between brain and body in a way I’ve never thought about before, and maybe you hadn’t either. Cognitive health is like a 401K, she explains. You have to build wealth and save it to support you when you get older. Brain capacity works the same. In this episode, we also explore many other topics, such as cognitive-motor dual tasking, modern living and the brain, aging and Alzheimer’s disease, neuroplasticity, and using the body to wake your brain up. She also breaks down what you can do today to think faster and support an age-proof brain.
Because as she illustrates:
A beautiful house with poor electrical wiring can’t shine brightly. Your brain works the same. Unless your brain keeps making new connections, it can’t function fully, and the body starts to fail.

Don’t miss

Jordan Glenn, Head of Science for SuppCo, unpacked one of the buzziest questions in longevity: can supplements meaningfully extend your health span, or are we just crowding our kitchen cabinet?
