👁️‍🗨️SPOTLIGHT

Longevity is the hottest trend of 2025

These trends will dominate in 2025.

Longevity leads as 2025’s most popular wellness trend, according to the Top Global Consumer Trends 2025.

From biohacking to personalized healthcare, you can tailor your New Year’s resolutions toward living longer.

Besides longevity, these are the other major wellness trends you should look out for in 2025:

  • 💧”Wild” hydrotherapy. Hydrotherapy improves sleep, mood, and offers pain relief, but more people are being called to do it in the wild. This has led to the growth of “wild swimming” in lakes, rivers, and oceans, and it offers a diverse set of benefits.

  • 💆🏻‍♀️ Specialized Wellness Retreats. Retreats are tailored to individual needs, providing specialized approaches for treating Menopause, going offline, and overcoming specific diseases.

  • 🤜🤛Group activities. The bigger the crowd, the healthier you get. Walking groups, volleyball, and run clubs (reservations grew 59% in 2024) foster a sense of community and shared goals while staying healthy.

  • ⌚Data-driven health. Innovative tracking technology such as smartwatches monitors and improves fitness and sleep quality, and its popularity continues growing.

WELLNESS WATCH - Regenerative Medicine

3D Bioprinting: The future of regenerative medicine?

This groundbreaking technology may eliminate waitlists for organ transplants.

Scientists at Penn State discovered an innovative new method of bioprinting—a type of 3D printing that creates tissues and organs from living cells and materials—which creates tissue at a 10-times faster rate than previous methods.

This method can dramatically cut down the wait time for patients who need an organ transplant, which currently has 100,000+ patients on the waitlist.

How does it work?

The bioprinting method, called “high-throughput bioprinting,” efficiently creates spheroids—clusters of cells that mimic small tissues ('tiny tissues').

These tissues can be used to build organs for transplants, study diseases, test new drugs, and speed up wound healing.

This technology shows how doctors can approach regenerative medicine and contribute to future longevity treatments.

The biomarker that detects aging cells in real time

🧬 This biomarker ‘catches aging in the act,’ according to experts.

Scientists discovered a new biomarker, called Interleukin-23 receptor (IL-23R), which “catches aging cells in the act,” according to Medical Xpress

  • Biomarkers are molecules that relay information about the inner workings of the body.

💡In a recent study, researchers found that IL-23R levels in the bloodstream increase with age. This effectively shows cellular aging.

Why this matters: As scientists further examine the role of IL-23R in aging, it could lead to the development of drugs that target this protein, slowing the aging process and reducing the risk of age-related diseases.
